Why does /exchanges-list API not return all exchanges?

For instance, apparently an exchange called INDX exists because I can get its symbols with /exchange-symbol-list/INDX.

But INDX does not exist in /exchanges-list API’s response.

How can my code know that an exchange called INDX exists? Are there more exchanges that are not returned from /exchanges-list API? Why?

Thanks for reaching out.
The list does not include the virtual exchanges INDX and BOND due to technical reasons. However, all other exchanges are visible.
